Scheduler/Registrar Coordinator
Imaging Associates of Providence has an opening for a person who is punctual, professional and dedicated, with outstanding customer service skills. We are looking for a person with experience, skills and abilities for the job responsibilities listed below.
Job Responsibilities:
- Patient Scheduling: Accurately schedules all diagnostic procedures performed at the group practice. Explains pre-exam requirements and procedures.
- Patient Registration: Accurately registers patients calling to schedule diagnostic procedures at the practice. Must be able to perform essential functions of registration.
- Communications: Answers all incoming calls using good phone etiquette. Answers questions, refers calls to proper person or take messages.
- Customer Service/Reception: Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in all interactions with physicians, patients and practice personnel. Must be able to perform reception functions.
- Written Communication: Responsible for processing and updating patient information.
- Computer Skills: Operates a variety of office equipment, including, but not limited to, printers, copiers, hospital computer system.
- General: Implements care or services that recognize age- and diversity-specific needs and issues of customers served. Performs other duties as required.
- Competencies: Completes initial and annual competency plan for assigned job and department.
- Conduct: Demonstrates personal and interpersonal qualities consistent with the Providence Health system code of conduct (integrity, compliance and ethics in the work place).
Essential Job Qualifications:
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology required.
- Experience: One year medical office and registration experience is required. Experience with multi-line telephone systems. Experience with personal computers, printers, copiers and fax machines required. SMS Radiology Information System experience is preferred.
- Other Qualifications: Must be able to demonstrate good customer service skills; do multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; and work flexible shifts. Must be able to apply basic math skills.
- Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
- English Language: Must be able to read, write and speak English.
