Imaging Associates of Providence gets first and only 3T MRI in Alaska

Imaging Associates recently took delivery and installed the first 3-tesla strength magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine in Alaska. The new Magnetom Trio MRI from Siemens features a magnet with twice the power of 1.5-telsa machines for unprecedented detail and clarity.

The new MRI combines detail, speed and flexibility with TIM (total image matrix) and Whole Body Imaging in one session. Along with seamless integrated coils, the Magnetom Trio allows feet-first scanning for anatomy below the heart.
