Imaging Associates of Providence features the first 3-tesla strength magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine in Alaska. It is available at our South Anchorage imaging center.

Twice the Strength. The Magnetom Trio MRI from Siemens features a magnet with twice the power of 1.5-telsa machines — and 5 to 10 times the strength of most “open” and “stand up" MRI scanners — for unprecedented detail and clarity.

Detail & Speed. The 3T MRI combines detail, speed and flexibility with TIM (total image matrix) and Whole Body Imaging in one session. Along with seamless integrated coils, the Magnetom Trio allows feet-first scanning for anatomy below the heart.

OTHER MRI OPTIONS

Open MRI. For larger or claustrophobic patients, we offer Airies ll MRI system, providing the maximum level of patient comfort while maintaining high standards in imaging quality. This system has the capabilities for diffusion imaging, MR angiography and MR venography, as well as most pulse sequences found on the larger and faster, high-field, closed-bore scanners. It also provide advanced imaging techniques such as Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA), precise and highly detailed images of the arteries in the brain, neck, abdomen and lower extremities, without the invasive techniques and risks of catheter angiography.

Short Bore Option. At our Mat-Su Trunk Road imaging center, we have the Siemens Magnetom Espree, a 1.5-telsa high field MRI with a short bore design appreciated by larger or more claustrophobic patients.

Ultra-short Bore Option. Our Mat-Su Road Bogard center features the Hitachi Echelon 1.5T MRI.
