IAP Named Valley’s First
“Breast Imaging Center of Excellence”
ANCHORAGE, AK — The American College of Radiology (ACR) has designated Imaging Associates of Providence’s Mat-Su Trunk Road location as a “Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.”
To become a Center of Excellence, Imaging Associates of Providence (IAP) underwent a rigorous review of personnel qualifications, equipment requirements, quality assurance, and quality control procedures by a team of board-certified physicians and medical physicists.
The designation also confirms that IAP’s facility is fully accredited in mammography, breast ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
Nationwide, less than 10 percent of certified breast imaging centers have this distinction. IAP is one of only two imaging centers in the state of Alaska with this designation and is the only one in the Matanuska Susitna Valley. Read more.

Mammography Socials a Big Hit
After introducing “Mammogram Socials” last year, Imaging Associates is helping more and more patients make the most of their annual screening appointments, with delicious hors d’oeuvres, various liquid refreshments, and the comfort of friends. All, at no extra cost.
These private parties can be arranged for any group of five or more mammography patients and are held after hours at either Imaging Associates location: in South Anchorage on Abbott Road or in the Valley near Trunk Road and the Parks Highway. The screenings are appropriate for any patient needing an annual or first (baseline) screening mammogram.
For more information and to schedule a mammogram social, call Dianna at 444-9003 or Cynthia at 301-8951 in Anchorage or Jeanette at 444-5484 in the Valley.

Marcelle Riddle tapped to lead IAP marketing and sales efforts
Imaging Associates recently promoted Marcelle (Young) Riddle to Director of Marketing. She now oversees the company’s marketing and sales department and leads IAP’s external promotions.
Riddle has been with the company for three years and brings a wealth of business and marketing acumen to the position. She recently earned her MBA from the University of Alaska Anchorage and holds a bachelor of arts from UC Santa Barbara.
Riddle moved to Alaska in 2004 and spent a great deal of time on the Kenai River, managing a local rafting company. She soon transitioned into the marketing field, working for a consulting firm. Today, when she’s not promoting Imaging Associates’ services to help patients achieve better health, she’s out enjoying her own, with a daily dose of hiking, biking or rowing in the Great Land.
